Run Your Service Business from Claude

Install the Service Storm connector once and Claude can work with your real customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, and schedules — with your permissions, your company, and a full audit trail.

Service Storm connected to Claude over the Model Context Protocol at https://mcp.servicestorm.io/mcp, with OAuth 2.1 PKCE, per-user permissions and per-call auditing

If Claude is already where you think, plan, and write, there's no reason your field service data should live somewhere you have to go and fetch it from. Service Storm publishes a hosted MCP server, and Claude supports MCP connectors natively — so a single install puts your business inside the conversation.

The short version

Open Integrations → AI connections in Service Storm and choose Connect to Claude. The install button opens Claude's prefilled connector dialog; Claude sends you back through Service Storm login to a consent page where you confirm the company and the access level. Read-only is the sensible starting point.

What Claude can do once it's connected

At the read level, Claude becomes a genuinely useful analyst of your own operation — because it can look things up rather than guess:

  • "What's on the schedule Thursday, and who's got capacity?"
  • "Pull up everything we've done for the Ellises at 148 Cedar Ridge."
  • "Which quotes from last month never got followed up?"
  • "What's outstanding on invoices older than 30 days?"
  • "What did we charge for a similar roof repair last spring?"

Move up to the drafts level and Claude can start the work: spin up a draft quote from one of your templates, edit a draft, open a task and assign it, or write a project note. Move up to "Run your business" and Claude gets full parity with Otto — the same tools, the same per-tool permission gates.

How to connect Claude

  1. In Service Storm, select the company you want Claude to reach.
  2. Open Integrations → AI connections and choose Connect to Claude.
  3. Use the install button. It opens Claude's custom-connector dialog with the details prefilled.
  4. Claude redirects you back through the normal Service Storm login.
  5. On the consent page, check the company name and pick your access level, then approve.
  6. Open a new Claude conversation, enable the Service Storm connector, and ask it something real.

Teams and organizations

Claude Team and Enterprise owners have a separate organization install link, so the connector can be made available across the organization. Each person still authenticates individually and gets their own permission-scoped grant — an org install never gives anyone reach they don't already have in Service Storm.

What it can't do

Regardless of access level, a connected assistant cannot send a message to your customer, take a payment, or accept a quote or contract on anyone's behalf. Starting, pausing, completing, and cancelling visits also stay in the Service Storm app. If you ask for one of those, you'll be told no rather than quietly given something adjacent.

Security in one paragraph

The connection is OAuth, not an API key. Claude receives opaque tokens stored only as hashes; access tokens last fifteen minutes and refresh tokens rotate. The grant is bound to one company and can never outlive your approved Service Storm login session. Every request rechecks your membership and current permissions, so a role change takes effect on the next call. Every tool call is audited with the user, company, tool, and outcome — never the arguments or record contents. You can revoke the connection at any time from the same page you created it on.

Token lifetimes, the three consent levels, the audit trail, and what's deliberately not exposed.

Prefer not to leave Service Storm?

Then don't. Otto is Service Storm's own AI agent and does the same work from a panel inside the app and in the mobile app, with no connector to install. The MCP route exists because some people would rather bring the business to their assistant than the other way round — not because it's the better path for everyone.
